Samuel Stockton was appointed Manager of Chartiers Township in December of 2008. Sam has been working in Municipal Government for eight years both in Washington and Allegheny Counties. He is the third Manager hired in the last 12 years. He holds a Summa Cum Laude Masters Degree in Regional Planning from California State University.
The Township Manager is appointed by the Board of Supervisors and serves as Chief Administrative Officer. The Manager is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the Township and oversees the Administration, Community Development, Public Works and Police Departments. The Township Manager is also responsible for preparing the annual budgets for the Board to approve by December 31st of each year. The Manager also serves as liaison to various State, Federal and Community organizations.
